AR Draeger joins the growing list of Takamo Universe authors with a tale about a reckless ex-military pilot that will force her to do some nefarious spy stuff to save her brother. She doesn't exactly have a plan, but she plunges ahead anyway, and to add to her troubles, she has to deal with underworld elements and a do-gooder cop. This is a fast-moving story with a lot of humor. It is not a long story and I read it in an evening. It left me wanting more and the "To be continued" ending gives me hope that I will be seeing sequels. A very good addition to the Takamo Universe library.
I enjoyed it from start to finish. I appreciate books by women about women that take the protagonist to unfamiliar places. Thank you so much, Amber.
This was a great read from beginning to end. I'm ready to read book two! Degara has to participate in some shady stuff to save her brother. This story is tons of action. I love the fight scene near the end. Lots of questions about Degara and what comes next.
